Prevent prostate cancerAccording to a study published in the journal Cancer Researchla exposure to sunlight may reduce the risk of prostate cancer.

The study was based on analysis of data from three cancer centers, determining that sunlight reduced the risk of prostate cancer by half compared with men who avoided the sun.

Esther John, Cancer Center of Northern California, said “believe that sunlight helps to reduce prostate cancer because the body manufactures the active form of vitamin D through sunlight.”
