How to make raw food salads

Salads of raw foods are always a hit for pursuing the raw food diet. Not only are they quick and easy to do, but also tasty and very filling. Really are no rules on how to make them, as almost anything goes, and everyone will have to experience what most like. Most people tend to favor fruit salads with leafy green salads, as well as garden salads. This is mainly due to its sweetness, but salad greens and garden can be just as tasty.

They offer up many essential nutrients as calcium, sodium and natural amino acids the body needs. However, due to the bitterness of many leafy greens, salads may take some getting used to.

With raw food salads, one can not use commercial salad dressings available for gardens and leafy green salads. Therefore, it is important to learn how to make homemade salad dressings from scratch using fruits, oils and herbs and spices. It may seem daunting, but really, make a salad dressing at home is quite simple and can taste just as great, if not better than anything that can be purchased in a bottle.

A common way to make a salad dressing is to start with the basics such as oil, lemon juice and sea salt. Then from there, one can add other herbs such as dill, rosemary, thyme, garlic and many others. A mashed avocado juices and fruits like pineapple juice, mango or apple can also serve as base for the dressing, thereby eliminating the need for oil.
